On the morning of June 25, 2024, in Hanoi, the Department of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development under the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized a seminar titled "Energy Efficiency and Conservation: From Policy Planning to Action and the Role of Media and Communication."

On the morning of June 18, 2024, in Da Nang, the Department of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development - Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Vietnam Standards and Quality Institution (VSQI), organized a conference to disseminate the national standards (TCVN) on energy management systems.

The Department of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Energy Conservation Research and Development Center (ENERTEAM), organizes training courses for "Energy Managers" and "Energy Auditors" in June and July.

On May 14th, a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade inspected the compliance with laws on using energy efficiency and conservation and the implementation of Directive 20/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on enhancing energy saving for the period 2023-2025 and subsequent years in Lao Cai.

On the morning of April 22, 2024, in Hanoi, the Department of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade in cooperation with the Vietnam Journalists Association organized the launch ceremony for the "2024 Journalism Award for Propaganda on Using Energy Efficiency and Conservation".

VSUEE Project conducts surveys and evaluations of the energy-saving equipment market and the readiness as well as the capacity of energy-saving equipment suppliers.

On the morning of March 19th, in Ho Chi Minh City, a technical seminar "Consultation on Energy Efficiency Boiler Catalogue and Wood Drying Guideline" was organized.

The national energy development strategy of Vietnam by 2030, with a vision to 2045, aims to achieve an energy saving ratio of approximately 7 - 10% of the total final energy consumption compared to the business-as-usual scenario by 2030, and about 14 - 20% by 2045.
