On September 25, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the Vietnam Energy Conservation and Efficiency Association (VECEA), held the launching ceremony for 2024 Energy Efficiency Awards.

In response to the opinion of the Ambassador, the Minister also said that on June 11, 2015, EVN received the pre-feasibility Report for the nuclear power plant Project prepared by the Korean side.

On May 18, the workshop to "Review the Vietnam Energy Efficiency Standard and Labeling Program" was held. The project has been implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade since 2012 with funding from the Australian Government.

Vietnam Energy Association Chairman Tran Viet Ngai has said that Vietnam's energy efficient product market has plenty of room for investors due to limited product categories. At current, only a few such as compact and LED lamps are being produced.

As one of three companies of which products are labeled as “Vietnam Energy Star”, the Rang Dong Light Source And Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company proves its leading position in producing lighting equipment which has high quality, save energy and does less harms to the environment.

On September 8, 2010, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Energy Conservation Office organized a ceremony to present an energy label titled Vietnam Energy Star and hand over energy efficiency certifications to three compact lamp manufacturers: Dien Quang, Philips Vietnam and Rang Dong.

Energy Efficiency Office - Ministry of Industry and Trade has recently hosted a meeting with Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) on the project "Supporting pilot production of commercial products using high-efficiency LEDs". On the morning of June 15, 2010, in coordination with the Energy Conservation Office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Infrastructure Department and the Urban Development Department of the Ministry of Construction, and the Vietnam Energy Efficient Public Lighting (VEEPL) project, the Vietnam Urban Lighting Association and the Anh sang & Cuoc song (Light & Life) magazine organized a workshop to discuss the role of the media in ensuring efficient use of energy for lighting purposes.
