Hoang Mai Concrete
JSC, the very first northern company which sells its products via main distributors, is highly recognized thanks to its efficiency and
flexibility.
Total amount of
clinker produced in the first 4 months reached 457,260 tons, 3% higher than its
plan. This amount consumes 553,000 tons of concrete, an increase of 20% in
comparison with the same period of 2009.

However, “2010
is still a difficult year for most of concrete companies. In fact, increase in
prices of oil and gas, coal, electricity … directly affects concrete
production,” claimed Nguyen Huu Quang – Manager of Hoang Mai concrete joint –
stock company.
Moreover,
transportation of materials and products would be directly affected because
cost of transportation surely would increase. As such, production price is
predicted to increase by 6% on average.
To realize energy
saving plan in order to reduce cost of production, the company’s leaders have
planned to run concrete crushing machine during off-peak hours, hence consuming
less electricity on producing concrete and clinker in comparison with previous targets.
The company has also reduced time spent on drying furnace, and burned coal
right after solving furnace problem instead of using MFO oil; hence
dramatically reducing oil consumption.
The company
strengthens management and maintains facilities to quickly solve problems of
mechanic, electricity and technology in production line, so that production
plants could operate effectively. Meanwhile, quality control procedure is
strictly followed.
Until now 21 initiatives
have been put into practice, bringing billions of dong in benefit to the
company. In 2009, Hoang Mai Concrete produced 1.75 million tons, an increase of
25% in comparison with 2008’s. Its turnover reached a record high of VND1,380
dong, equals to 109% of current plan and 130% of 2008’s.
