Bac Giang province sets a goal of saving at least 2% of the total annual electricity consumption in the 2023 - 2025 period.

Bac Giang Industrial Promotion Center implemented many projects on economical and efficient use of energy such as propaganda, dissemination, raising public awareness, promoting economical and efficient use of energy; building models of using high-efficiency, energy-saving equipment in offices, traffic, public lighting, and school lighting.

According to Mr. Duong Van Tuan, Director of Bac Giang Energy Conservation Center, the province aims to save 5 - 8% of total energy consumption over the period of 2016 - 2020.

The Director of the Bac Giang provincial Center for Energy Conservation, Mr. Duong Van Tuan, said that for the period 2016 - 2020, the province would strive to save 5-8% of total energy consumption; with focus on prioritizing the replication of energy saving and efficiency families.

Bac Giang Power Company (PC) prepared a plan to ensure the power supply, serving the major events of the province; implementing the measures to respond to abnormal breakdowns and/or situations which might arise during the year.

According to Decision No.1483/QD- issued by Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy Program, Bac Giang strives to save between 5% and 8% of total energy consumption in 2016 - 2020.

That is one of the objectives of the Economical and efficient use of energy Program of Bac Giang province for the phase 2016 - 2020 .

With an aim to raise women's awareness of energy efficiency so that they and their family members can use energy effectively, recently, the Department of Trade and Industry and the Association of Women in Bac Giang province launched a campaign for model families using energy efficiently in Bac Giang city.

Responding to the energy saving program in recent years, the factory has continuously made improvements to reduce power consumption and protect the environment. However, according to experts of Hanoi Center Energy Conservation Center, energy saving potential in this business is still quite large.

In recent years, Bac Giang has made remarkable progress in all walks of life. In particular, the economy has continuously developed with high growth. The economic structure is changing towards increasing the share of industry and services.
