That is one of the objectives of the Economical and efficient use of energy Program of Bac Giang province for the phase 2016 - 2020 .

On August 7, Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1483/QD-UBND on the promulgation of Economical and efficient use of energy Program of Bac Giang province for the phase 2016 - 2020 .

Specifically, the goal by 2020 is to save between 5% and 8% of total energy consumption in the period of 2016 - 2020. Each year, it is planned to set up from 2 to 4 typical models of economical and efficient use of energy in the field of industrial production, transportation; to reduce power losses from  5.6% down to 5.5% in 2020; gradually to reorganize the urban lighting system for civilized, modern and efficient service in order to reduce about 40% of total energy consumption compared to the planned projections.

By 2020, it is to complete the replacement of incandescent large capacity lamps with power-saving LED lamps in the streets of the city and some of the main streets in the center of the district.

To realize the program and its objectives, the authority decided to work out a number of solutions, which emphasize the state governance on the basis of collaboration with the relevant agencies and localities in the province to strengthen the education, information dissemination, and mobilization of the community to raise public awareness, promote the economical and efficient use of energy and environmental protection.

It is then the outstanding task to guide and monitor the key energy users in implementing regulations under the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy; to support the construction material producers in building their energy management system for improvement of energy consumption rate. 

The  industrial production enterprises, buildings and office buildings, public offices; transport sector, agricultural activities, domestic power users are encouraged to continue the practice of economical and efficient use of energy ; with new effective technology models to be set up in production and daily life. The successful new technology models shall be multiplied in the locality for economical and efficient use of energy.
