On December 23, 2015, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade sector held a closing ceremony for National Target Programme on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy in 2014 and awarded the contest winners with title "Innovative Solutions to Energy Efficiency".

For enactment of Directive 04/2012/CT-UBND dated 9-12-2015 issued by the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) on strengthening the power savings in the province, the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade of Long An has implemented the programs, electricity-saving measures, and advised the PPC to promulgate guidance on the mandatory power savings to all levels, departments, units, offices and people, while enhancing the inspection, monitoring of implementation of energy conservation.

During three days, December 16 -18, 2015, the Low Carbon Transition in Energy Efficiency Project (LCEE Project) held a training course on Optimization of industrial refrigeration system for the 2nd round.

To improve the economical and efficient use of energy in the business community, the electricity sector and other relevant departments of Can Tho City implemented many operations with dissemination of solutions, patterns of economical and efficient use of energy. According to the Hanoi Energy Conservation Center, the movement of Electricity Saving Households has been deployed since 2011. On December 8, 2015 the Da Nang People's Committee had a meeting with Mr. Ranjan K.Bose, senior energy expert of the World Bank (WB) in the framework of the field mission program between the Da Nang city People's Committee with the Mission Team of the World Bank.

According to the draft, those works registered for Award of Energy Savings and Environmentally friendly features must be the civil construction from grade III or higher, which are commissioned and completed and put into use as prescribed law within the last 3 years by the time of award registration; at the same time, there is no violation of the provisions of law on construction, land acquisition, bidding, work safety, environmental protection, fire control and other related provisions of laws.

During November 25-27, 2015, the leading international exhibition on water sector, water purification technology and waste water treatment in Vietnam (Vietwater 2015) was held by Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA), Ministry of Construction and Southeast Asian Water Utilities Network (SEAWUN) in the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Giang Vo Exhibition Center), Hanoi.

For two days, November 30, and December 1, 2015 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the European Union Delegation in Vietnam, the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Energy Research Centre of Asia held a workshop on the legal foundation to be laid for energy statistics in Vietnam. November 27, 2015. In Vietnam German Center, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, a Workshop "Presentation on the results of research, design and manufacture of prototype of biomass gasifier stove and its deployment with high capacity using compressed biomass fuel pellets" was held by the Center for Innovative Consulting and Sustainable Development Research (CCS).
