958.4 million kWh saved in the first five months

According to reports from the Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN), in May 2013, an estimated 210.9 million kWh of electricity was saved, raising the total saved electricity in the first five months of this year to 958.4 million kWh, accounting for 47.28 percent of the plan and equal to 2.1 percent of the country’s total commodity electricity.

Those units which have well performed the electricity saving plan included Hanoi Power Corporation, Southern Power Corporation, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation and Central Power Corporation saving over two percent and the Northern Power Corporation saving 1.5 percent of the commodity electricity.
