To improve rural living standards and to popularize biogas energy among people, especially women, at the same time implementing the programme for energy efficiency and waste treatment, Ninh Binh Women Federation has initiated the project “Households using biogas to save energy” in the whole province.

In response to the National Energy Efficiency Program, Vinh Phuc Province aims to save at least 10 percent of their current annual electricity consumption.

With a goal to achieve 40% cut in carbon emissions by 2020, the Malaysian government plans to increase the share of renewable energy in the total energy mix to 5.5% by 2015, according to a statement made by the Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak.
