The lights-off event in response to the Earth Hour campaign in 2024 will take place from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Vietnam saved 353,000 kWh of electricity, equivalent to 658.1 million VND (28,635 USD), during one hour from 20:30 to 21:30 on March 27, when the entire country turned off unnecessary electric appliances in response to Earth Hour 2021, according to the National Power Dispatch Centre.

Many luxury hotels and resorts across the country have implemented meaningful activities in response to the Earth Hour 2021 campaign and plan to join the nationwide light off event on March 27.

Youth volunteers will be involved in a host of activities and projects to raise public awareness of environment protection and promote the efficient use of power in response to this year’s Earth Hour in Ho Chi Minh City.

Following the celebration, volunteers paraded and distributed 3,000 power saving handbooks to households of the province.

Since 2012, Ha Giang province has organized a series of programs and activities in response to Earth Hour Campaign.

Earth Hour 2016 saw the lights go out many provinces from 20:30 to 21:30 on 19th March 2016.

Early on March 14th, the Binh Duong provincial Youth Union has released a bicycle parade over streets of Thu Dau Mot city in response to Earth Hour Campaign 2016

Hanoi, HCMC, Hoi An and other 60 cities and provinces across the country has together turned off non-essential lights from 20h30 to 21h30 on March 19th in response to Earth Hour 2016.

Standing Committee of Binh Duong Province Youth Union and Binh Duong Power Company (PC) are expected to organize Earth Hour 2016 at Binh Duong Crossroads, Phu Cuong Ward, Thu Dau Mot City on 19th March 2016.

About 200 volunteers took part in Earth Hour 2016 kick-off ceremony at Ly Thai To Street, Bac Ninh city on 10th March.

On 12th March 2016, over 3,000 volunteers took part in running and cycling activities in response to Earth Hour 2016 at Cau Giay Park.

Volunteers of Earth Hour 2016 will run and cycle around the streets of Hanoi to spread the campaign’s message.

In 2016, Vietnam will continue to promote Earth Hour Campaign with a number of vibrant activities and programs.

About 3,000 students, volunteers, groups and clubs joined the campaign.

On April 8th, the organizing Board of the Earth Hour Campaign conducted the prize awarding ceremony for the Poster Design Contest in response to Earth Hour 2015.

In the evening of March 28, together with nearly 200 countries and territories comprising approximately 7,000 cities worldwide, Vietnam responded to Earth Hour Campaign simultaneously in 63 provinces, cities by exemplary action of switching off lights for one hour from 20h30 to 21h30.

In the program, many exciting activities took place such as Cycling parade in response to Earth Hour, flash mob dance, mass game 60+. Shortly after the event, hundreds of union members went about to stick the communication posters, to hand out the leaflets in response to Earth Hour 2015 campaign.

On March 22 morning, the General Department of Energy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) organized the launching ceremony for Earth Hour 2015 Campaign in Da Nang.

In the evening of March 22nd, 2015, thousands of pupils, students, volunteers and people of Hanoi congregated at the August Revolution Square to participate in the ritual light-off in response to Earth Hour 2015 campaign.
