Standing Committee of Binh Duong Province Youth Union and Binh Duong Power Company (PC) are expected to organize Earth Hour 2016 at Binh Duong Crossroads, Phu Cuong Ward, Thu Dau Mot City on 19th March 2016. According to to plan, the event will be from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Lights-off time will start at 8:30 and end at 9:30.

Earth Hour organizer in Binh Duong is said to hold amble propagation activities to encourage citizens and corporations to join the campaign. In particular, they turn off unnecessary lights during the campaign, cycle on the streets and launch “New vitality from recycled products” in which winners will be awarded on World Environment Day (5th June 2016). They also stick posters, distribute leaflets and stickers with energy saving theme.

Additionally, they hold “The youth in response to Earth Hour Day” which includes various activities such as: Taking photographs with Earth Hour symbols, fingerprint painting, flashmob dancing, busking etc.
The organizer also launch “Shutting off motorcycles for 25 seconds”, encouraging citizens to turn off motorcycles if red traffic signal lasts for over 25 seconds.
In 2015, Binh Duong saved 46,300 KWh of electricity which was higher than expected number of 45,000 KWh, increased by 9.72% from 2014 and accounted for 8.9% of the power saved by the whole country.
