Earth Hour 2016 saw the lights go out many provinces from 20:30 to 21:30 on 19th March 2016.

After being implemented, the "Power saving families" program encouraged 1,000 families to join and saved 630,000 KWh, equivalent to VND200 million.

Entering 2016, Van Ban Power Company will cooperate with agencies, sectors, mass organizations, unions and schools to develop plans for electricity efficiency.

The power saving in Lao Cai city in the past year exceeds by 14.8% compared to the assigned plan.

Recently, Schneider Electric Vietnam visited and donated 330 sets of solar energized lamps with brand name Mobiya to households in Ta Phin village, Sa Pa District, Lao Cai Province.

In the beginning of May, 2015, the Hanoi Energy Conservation Centre in collaboration with the Industrial Extension & Development Consulting and Energy Conservation Center held a training course on "Capacity Improvement for Energy Saving Policy Enactment for provincial and district officials in Lao Cai Province".

One of successful programs is "Power Saving Family" throughout Lao Cai city with a total number of 20,000 registered households.
