Conference on Energy management in commercial buildings

Hanoi Energy Conservation Centre (ECC), on 23rd October, 2012, held a confenrence to popularise the energy managemen model for commercial buildings in the city. The confenrence was attended by nearly 100 businesses, commercial buildings and centres.

Since the effective date of the Law on Energy Efficiency in July 2011, Hanoi city has organized various programs to support the city-based buildings. Results of these activities will add up to the research and application of solutions for energy saving among small and medium enterprises in the city.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh An, Deputy Director of ECC Hanoi, “the number of buildings in the city is increasing rapidly in terms of scope and technoloty. So the previus appraisal method for projects has not reflected the real situation in these buildings. This conference aims at providing businesses and buildings with solutions for energy efficiency and conservation, at the same time popularizing experience of some successful buildings in the field”.

The conference is expected to help businesses and commercial buildings in setting up their own energy management model.
