The Director of the Bac Giang provincial Center for Energy Conservation, Mr. Duong Van Tuan, said that for the period 2016 - 2020, the province would strive to save 5-8% of total energy consumption; with focus on prioritizing the replication of energy saving and efficiency families.

For enactment of Directive 04/2012/CT-UBND dated 9-12-2015 issued by the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) on strengthening the power savings in the province, the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade of Long An has implemented the programs, electricity-saving measures, and advised the PPC to promulgate guidance on the mandatory power savings to all levels, departments, units, offices and people, while enhancing the inspection, monitoring of implementation of energy conservation.

According to the Hanoi Energy Conservation Center, the movement of Electricity Saving Households has been deployed since 2011. To date, over 5 year duration (2011-2015), the movement has saved 1.32 billion kWh, equivalent to VND2,155 billion. Particularly, in 2015, the whole city conserved over 35 million kWh.
