On April 19, 2015, in Hanoi, there was a walking parade and a photo exhibition to respond to the “Passage of Green Energy” organized by Journal of Economics and Forecasting (Ministry of Planning and Investment). The event involved thousands of officers and employees from agencies, organizations, businesses and the youth, the students in the locality to participate.

On April 20, 2015, under the guidance of the Hanoi People’s Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for construction of Energy Manager Training Center in Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park, Hanoi.

During April 4-21, 2015 the Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with EVN Hanoi examines the use of energy in 92 key enterprises in 12 districts of Hanoi to assess the level of energy consumption and the observance of the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy.

In the evening of March 22nd, 2015, thousands of pupils, students, volunteers and people of Hanoi congregated at the August Revolution Square to participate in the ritual light-off in response to Earth Hour 2015 campaign.

This morning, on the roads of Hanoi, more than 500 young people, students and pupils were divided into 10 cycling teams on the streets of Hanoi in a response to 2015 Earth Hour campaign.

Hanoi People's Committee issued Document No. 70 / KH-UBND dated March 13, 2015 with its Plan in response to Earth Hour 2015 Campaign. Hanoi committed to participate in the Campaign with practical activities to disseminate the message "saving energy, responding to climate change".

After the success of the Kick Off event in Hanoi (Feb 7th 2015), on March 8th 2015 at Electric Power University, an exchange campaign was held to respond to Earth Hour 2015.

According to the Hanoi Energy Conservation Centre (Hanoi ECC), building blocks were one of the central objects to be subject to energy saving measures in the city in 2014. Thanks to the solutions including counselling, support, building blocks in the city have saved 535.3 TOEs and reduced 2,118 tons of CO2 emissions.

2015 is the final year of the National Target Programme on energy saving and efficiency from 2013 to 2015; Hanoi aims to save 6-9% of the total projected energy consumption.

Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 884/QD-UBND approving the Implementation Plan of the National Target Program on energy efficiency and savings (VNEEP) in 2015.

On February 7th in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized Earth Hour 2015 Launching Campaign at Thong Nhat Park with the technical support of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and the Danish Embassy in Vietnam.

In 2014, with more drastic measures and policies to support businesses, Hanoi Energy Conservation Center (Hanoi ECC) is considered to have fulfilled the national target program on the economical and effective use of energy, especially for industrial production enterprises in the capital.

A survey by Hanoi Energy Conservation Center (Hanoi ECC) conducted at Kim Lan Pottery Village – an antique pottery village in Hanoi with about 200 craftsmen’s households shows that most households currently use traditional kilns. This old type of kilns has been inefficient, energy consuming, and failed the regeneration of heat from the fuel gas.

Năm 2014 EVN HANOI đã thực hiện tiết kiệm được 274 triệu kWh điện, tương ứng 2,19 % tổng điện thương phẩm.

Hanoi Energy Conservation Center has conducted practical researches and offered its energy saving solutions to passenger transporters.
