ECC Hanoi and ECC HCMC to sign a development strategy

On October 18th, 2013, Hanoi Energy Conservation Centre (ECC Hanoi) in coordination with HCMC Energy Conservation Centre (ECC HCMC) signed a strategic coordination agreement in order to enhance the capability and operation ability of the two centres.

The cooperation consists of the coordination in communication such as to organize trade fairs of energy savings, implement the program “households saving energy”, propagate and raise awareness of energy conservation.

Sharing experience, disseminating new efficient solutions to save energy, reporting the typical investment projects on energy efficiency, coordinating to organize the energy conservation contests such as “energy-efficient buildings”, “energy management in industry and buildings”.

Besides, the two centers also coordinate in constructing the energy facility Benchmark for particularly domestic industrial production groups and buildings in the country, which contributes to the reduction of energy use. ECC Hanoi and ECC HCMC strive to achieve the target of saving 5% - 8% of the total energy consumption throughout the country in the period 2012- 2015 under the Decision Number 1427/QĐ-TTg approved by the Prime Minister.
