On May 29, 2015 at the People's Committee of Ninh Duong Ward, Mong Cai City Electricity authority organized the ceremony to launch the emulation program "Power Saving Family 2015".

Responding to the Fatherland Front on saving energy, during the past years, following the instructions of the Fatherland Front of Mong Cai, Quang Ninh Power Company, Mong Cai City Electricity has been implementing many programs in counseling, instructions for economical, safe and effective use of power, such as: working in coordination with the mass communication media to promote power savings, distribution of leaflets to propagate messages on power savings at the customer service stands, in the communities, and to promote the use of compact fluorescent light bulbs, solar energy fueled water heaters.

The participants in "Power Saving Family 2015" are households in 16 communes / wards in the city using power for domestic purposes. They are expected not to change the purpose of the use of electricity as specified in signed power purchase contract. Each participating family must save at least 10% of electricity consumption as compared with the same month of 2014.

This year, the Power Saving Family program has highlighted many new features, most notably is that the deployment time will last 6 months, from May to October 2015.

Emulation program "Power Saving Family 2015" aims at public communication to raise the awareness, to equip the people with skills in safe and efficient use of electricity and electrical appliances, to form a habit of power saving for each individual, each family so that it can create very pervasive atmosphere of power savings in the community, to build the model, called "every home saves power, everyone saves power".
