Fly ash is a great material for construction materials. Besides, in the chemically set brick technology, if fly ash is used as additives, it can reduce the amount of cement. Especially in concrete technology of compacting roller, this type of additive is indispensable. The study of construction materials shows that  slag cement production not only solves the waste from steel, but also reduces CO2 emissions.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau is a pioneer province in processing and recycling the industrial and domestic wastes. In the province, there are dozens of sizable plants for processing and recycling those wastes.

For steel production, many local enterprises have invested in heat recovery technology for producing electricity and construction materials to bring about high economic efficiency.

The Government has many mechanisms and policies to support and encourage the re-use of wastes as specified by the Decision 2149 to approve a national strategy for integrated management of solid waste by 2025, vision to 2050. The Prime Minister also approved the development program of chemically set materials up to 2020 to hit the goal that each year, 15 to 20 million tons of industrial waste are used to produce chemically set construction material, saving thousands of hectares of agricultural land and hundreds of hectares of land for dumping waste. However, enterprises still expect more enabling policies and support in terms of capital to help businesses promote investment in the field of waste and garbage disposal.
