On June 11 at Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City Electricity Authority held a ceremony to launch the movement "Power Saving Family 2015".

In recent years, the proportion of domestic use of electricity in Vinh City accounts for 60% of total commercial output. Especially in the hot months, this percentage amounts to over 70% of the total power consumption of the entire city. Therefore, the movement "Power Saving Family 2015" aims to mobilize the city's households in economical use of electricity, especially during the peak months.

The Emulation movement contributes to raising public awareness, skills, good habit, self-consciousness for all members of the family and community for the economical and efficient use of energy.

At the launching ceremony, the participating households registered for the emulation "Power Saving Family 2015" at city level. Accordingly, households will have to save 15% or more of electricity consumption compared with the same month in 2014, for six consecutive months. The closing ceremony will be held in late November 2015.
