To lessen the burden of difficulties in securing the supply of electricity, the Electricity of Hanoi (EVN HANOI) respectfully calls for sympathy of customers in their economical and efficient use of electricity, by turning off unused electrical appliances, regulating the temperature from 25-28°C in air-con use, and restricting the simultanous use of electrical appliances during peak hours.
Hanoi has been experiencing the peak hot days when the outdoor temperature passes 400 C. The high temperatures entail the increasing demand for electrical equipment usage, resulting in power consumption spike, causing power loss due to local overload in some areas. The Electricity of Hanoi sincerely apologizes to the customers for the interruptions in power supply.

Electricity of Hanoi says that through tracked data from grid operator in recent days, the electricity consumption is increasing. In particular, on June 29, it was 57 681 MWh of electricity (up 9.1% compared with that of the highest capacity day of 2014); the maximum capacity was 2,904 MW at 14h00.
On June 30, the output was 61,658 MWh of electricity (up 17% compared with the highest capacity day of 2014); the maximum capacity of was 3,020.44 MW at 14h00.
