In 2015, Ba Ria - Vung Tau strives to save more than 59 million kWh, equivalent to about 2.1% of commercial electricity. To achieve this goal, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with Electric Power Company of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and the concerned departments deployed their resources to implement the power-saving solutions.

By the end of June 2015, power saving in the province had reached over 31 million kWh, exceeding the target of 6.3% in the plan. The industry - construction saved nearly 24 million kWh; the domestic use, the energy use in business, services altogether saved over 5 million kWh; public lighting saved nearly 900 thousand kWh; while the business administrative sector archieved over 1 million kWh of electric pover.
