Communication skills training in power saving was held during 3 days August 10-12, 2015 by Quang Nam Power Company in collaboration with the Quang Nam provincial Youth Union for over 400 key Youth Unionists.
At the training, the representatives of Quang Nam Power Company conveyed the knowledge about the meaning, the benefits of energy saving and power-saving activities in the province. Also, they gave instructions on how to use the electrical equipment appropriately, how to recognize the energy labeled products, and introduced the role of youth unionists in the power-saving communication.
Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Nguyet - Deputy Secretary of Binh Chanh commune Youth Union said that the knowledge shared at the workshop helped her to have more skills in the use of electrical appliances at home such as: television, refrigerator, fan, television, washing machine so that electricity savings could be maximized; entailing the choice of electrical equipment in the house to achieve rational, long-term effectiveness; at the same time, it also helped her with necessary skills to join the communication and to mobilize the youth unionists, young people in the commune to participate actively in practicing power saving.
Mr. Le Ba Vy - the Deputy Head of Business Department of Quang Nam Power Company, said: " Success is beyond expectation, with numerous youth unionists eager to stay in tune with the event to the end. With this regard, I believe that after the course, the key youth unionists would be active communicators to join hands in dissemination of policies and instructions of methods and experiences in saving electricity to larger groups of young people across the province.
During the past time, Quang Nam Youth Union and Quang Nam Power Company have jointly implemented many programs to mobilize young people in power saving campaigns such as: "Lighting up the village" , "Repair, replace the electrical system in the house for the ethnic minorities, the poor, the state welfare beneficiaries".
In the future, these two units will continue the coordination and implementation of the program "to replace incandescent light bulbs with energy saving lights for the poor".
