The fourth international exhibition on nuclear power took
place on May 27, 2010 at the Hanoi Friendship and

The three-day exhibition (May 27-29) looked at presenting latest science and technology achievements in nuclear power as well as experiences in implementing nuclear power plant construction projects and human resource training to serve the construction and future operation of these nuclear power plants.
The director of the Vietnam Nuclear Energy Institute, Dr. and Assoc. Prof. Vuong Huu Tan said in a press meeting on May 25, 2010 that the nuclear power exhibition provided an ideal opportunity for nations and organizations strong in nuclear power around the world to present Vietnamese audience world advanced achievements in nuclear power and experiences in executing nuclear power construction projects.
Information concerning the building of a nuclear power plant in southern Binh Thuan province was promulgated in the exhibition such as major landmarks in the project implementation, principal standards in selecting a place for the future nuclear power plant and a plan on human resource training to receive the nuclear technology, etc.
The future nuclear power plant in Ninh Thuan will employ the
pressurized water reactor (PWR) or boiled water reactor (BWR, the latest
reactor generation (generation III and III+) and use 2-4 percent enriched
uranium, according to documents provided by the Preparation Board of the
nuclear power and renewable energy project (EVN-NRPB).
The policy-makers, investors, project managers, businesses and local scientists hope to procure useful information at the exhibition to prepare for the implementation of the nuclear power project in Ninh Thuan. In the meantime, they also seek cooperative and investment opportunities with foreign partners in nuclear energy field.
