Electricity of Hanoi (EVNHANOI) has celebrated the grant of Energy Management Certificate ISO 50001:2011 and held a Seminar on Technology in Energy Management.

Representatives from Ca Mau People’s Committee announced that “Clean Up the World 2015” with the slogan “Action for Sustainable Rural Environment” would be held from September 14 - 20, 2015. This campaign aims at raising the awareness of community about sustainably environmental conservation in the countryside.

The selected Enterprises for Demonstration Project will be audited on energy/ technical consultation for energy saving solution The activity is free of charge, and supported with a maximum VND 2 billion, but not exceeding 50% of total investment value of the Project.

On September 1st, 2015 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Journalist Association, the National Program on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy - MOIT, Electricity of Vietnam worked on the final appraisal to award the press prize on "Communication to Raise Awareness in Economical and Efficient Use of Energy 2014".

Pursuant to the Directive No.23/CT-TTg issued on August 31, 2015 of the Prime Minister, the fuel trading enterprises in 8 cities and provinces are urged to have at least 50% of their filling stations selling E5 by the end of November, 2015.

In the period 2011-2015, Can Tho Energy Conservation Center (Can Tho ECC) spent over VND4 billion from the state budget for the activities to save energy. However, to achieve a better result for energy efficiency, more support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade is needed.

The Quality Assurance and Testing Center 3 (QUATEST 3) has received and put into use a test equipment system to test energy efficiency of air conditioners. This equipment system is sponsored by the International Cooperation Agency of Japan (JICA) and installed in the new experimental headquarters of QUATEST 3 in Cat Lai Industrial Zone, Ho Chi Minh City.

On September 04, 2015, People’s Committee of Phu Yen Province held a conference to review the implementation of the 5-year programme on economical and effective use of energy 2011-2015. The conference was presided over by Mr. Tran Quang Nhat, member of Provincial Standing Committee, also Vice Chairman of People’s Committee.

The movement to save electricity in Vinh Yen City has not only gained the empathy and support from the government, agencies and organizations but also the efforts from businesses, households and the people, thus contributing positively to raise public awareness in the safe, efficient and economical use of electricity.

General Department of Energy has cooperated with the Department of Emulation and Commendation, awarded a medallion "For the Development of Industry and Trade of Vietnam," to Mr. Werner Kossmann - Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) of Vietnam Renewable energy development project. Perceiving the instructions from the Provincial People's Committee and to implement the solutions to save electricity, the power usage in the province has achieved certain results. During the first 7 months of 2015, the province has saved 30.8 million kWh, reaching 68.4% of the annual plan.

According to Hanoi Energy Conservation Center (Hanoi ECC), a unit as Savico Megamall Trade Center, thanks to the overall application of economical solutions, can save approximately 524,000 kWh in 2014, equivalent up to VND 1.36 billion.

Currently, Dung Quat Oil Refinery has been in stable and efficient operation at 105-107% of its capacity.

Vinacomin targets its growth rate in total revenues for period 2015-2020 at 6.8%/year; development investment VND 20÷30 trillion/year; value increase at 5%/year; labor productivity increase at 4÷5%/year; income per worker increase at 3.5%/year.

The testing equipment System for energy saving features (energy efficiency) of air conditioning is funded by JICA and installed in the new experiment headquarters of QUATEST 3 at Cat Lai Industrial Zone, Ho Chi Minh City.

The Children Painting Contest on "power savings" theme initiated by Nghe An Power Company in coordination with Vietnam - Germany Children's Cultural House was launched in June 2015 for the preschool age group, primary school and upper primary school students.

The solution with commitment to save energy was launched in March, then the city became the first locality in the country where commitment to implement energy-saving targets is signed.

The international exhibition on energy saving and renewable energy is an opportunity for enterprises to introduce their wind, solar, geothermal, biomass energy technologies; to advertise and make links with businesses through seminars.
