On October 12, 2023, in Hanoi, the Energy Conservation Steering Committee Office (Ministry of Industry and Trade), in collaboration with relevant units, organized the launch ceremony of the online competition 'Study on energy efficiency and conservation in 2023'.

An energy transition seminar on Norwegian-Vietnamese business partnerships opened in Ho Chi Minh on September 13, hosted by the Norwegian Embassy in Vietnam in collaboration with the Oil, Gas and Coal Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).

The circular No. 36/2016/TT-BCT (the Circular No.36) replacing the Circular No. 07/2012/TT-BCT dated on April 4th 2012 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade providing energy labeling for means and equipment using energy shall take effect on February 10th 2017.

On February 9th 2017, the General Directorate of Energy, Ministry of Industry and Trade promulgated the Official Dispatch No. 0239/TCNL - KHCN announcing the online energy labeling procedure registration.

On December 22nd 2016, the pilot Voluntary agreement (VA) program signing ceremony was organized by the General Directorate of Energy at the head office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).

The Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Journalists' Association, Electricity of Vietnam jointly organized the ceremony "The 9thPress Prize to raise awareness about Economical and Efficient Use of Energy 2015".

The Conference of the 5 Year Plan Period of implementing the National Target Programme on Energy Efficiency during the period 2011-2015 was held by Ministry of Industry and Trade in cooperation with the Vietnam Energy Conservation & Energy Efficiency Association.

On December 19, 2015 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a ceremony to award the winners in the Contest "Energy management in industry and buildings in 2014" honoring 16 units for their creative energy solutions and Economical and Efficient Use of Energy.

During December 01 – 04, 2015, the General Directorate of Energy – Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Danish International Development Assistance ran a training course on “Optimization of energy use in technological system of kiln” – session 1. Technical experts from 3 regions of Vietnam attended the course.
