To encourage agencies, organizations and people to widely use energy saving devices and solutions, Tien Giang province has built many pilot models, supported energy saving solutions in various areas such as office lighting, public lighting, households, and application in intensive crops.

More than 14 energy conservation and 40 industrial promotion centers have been established in the whole country in order to promote saving and using energy efficiently by direct consulting for business. However, until now, half of them have only played propagandizing roles.

Energy labeling has been effectively implemented in many countries all over the world in promotion of the market share for energy-saving and high-performance equipment.

The Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVN HCMC) and the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA) organized a conference on improving energy efficiency for large enterprises in order to help them implement energy-saving solutions, save costs and improve competitiveness.

On October 18th, 2013, Hanoi Energy Conservation Centre in coordination with HCMC Energy Conservation Centre signed a strategic coordination agreement in order to enhance the capability and operation ability of the two centres.

On April 17th, Thai Binh Department of Industry and Trade in coordination with Energy Efficiency Office (Ministry of Industry and Trade) held the “Energy Efficiency Deployment Conference” in order to propagate the Law of Energy Efficiency and Conservation and related legal documents.

The Energy General Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade was assigned to the Energy Conservation and Cleaner Production Project sponsored by the Global Environment Fund (GFF) through World Bank.
