In the first 4 months of this year, Tien Giang electricity sector has saved more than 16 million kWh of electricity, reaching 2.45% of commercial electricity. The well worth saying is that not only businesses but also many people of Tien Giang province are aware of power savings with its practical benefits to the family, and a major contribution into the state's savings and environmental protection.

As reflected by Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade, the funding budget to implement energy saving programs in Lam Dong province in 2015 is VND1.26 billion dong; with over VND1 billion from the state budget and the remaining from the individual units.

June 4-6, 2015 in Hanoi, the Conference "Summer peak time with Power savings program, Efficient use of energy in Hanoi" took place. The conference was held by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Hanoi Power Company. The conference aims to propagate and mobilize the people in economical and efficient use of electricity in hot weather conditions.

Since the beginning of the year, Tra Vinh Power Company saved 6.75 million kWh, achieving 44.02% of the planned assignment (15.33 million kWh), equivalent to VND9.9 billion.

June 1, 2015, at Children's' Palace of Lang Son, the Lang Son Electricity Company in collaboration with the provincial Youth Union, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son city launched the "Power Saving Family" Emulation Program in 2015 in Lang Son City. More than 100 families bearing the title "Typical Power Saving Family in 2014" attended the ceremony.

Power Saving Communication messages are directed to not only the officers, employees and officials within and outside the electricity sector but also to secondary school students in the province of Quang Nam as it is actively performed by the Youth Union in Quang Nam Power Company.

2015 is the last year to implement the National Target Program on Economical and Efficient use of energy Phase 2. Hanoi city will continue to promote, implement and supervise the activities in economical and efficient use of energy in order to accomplish planned targets.

Implementing the electricity-saving program of the Central Power Corporation 2015, Thua Thien Hue Power Company deployed one week public communication campaign for power saving - the third Session in 2015, during May 25-31, 2015.

Hanoi is in the most intense heat wave since the beginning of the season. The highest temperature during the day can be up to 40 degrees Celsius. It is forecast that hot weather condition will spread to the North-Central Region and tend to rise till the weekend.

On May 24, 2015, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, HCM City Youth Union held a creative contest in model assembling with the theme "Energy saving".

At Entech Hanoi in 2015, besides the advanced technologies and products of overseas and local businesses, there are also various models on display, unique in ideas about the use of energy, invented by university students.

In response to the National Target Program on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy, for the past 5 years (2010 - 2014), through the Power Saving Movement, Energy Saving in households, Hanoi has more 132 million kWh of electricity saved, equivalent to more than VND160 billion. Communication is evaluated as an important contribution to this outcome.

Asahi Glass Co., Japan has brought to the Trade Fair Entech Hanoi 2015 a technology of energy saving glass which can potentially save over 30% of energy.

23 May 2015 Ha Noi – Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Viet Nam’s Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh cut the ribon to inaugurate the official opening of Green One UN House (GOUNH) in Vietnam.

On May 21, within the framework of the International Exhibition Entech HANOI 2015, the Conference "Solution to Improve the Energy Efficiency in Industry and Building" was held.

In the beginning of May, 2015, the Hanoi Energy Conservation Centre in collaboration with the Industrial Extension & Development Consulting and Energy Conservation Center held a training course on "Capacity Improvement for Energy Saving Policy Enactment for provincial and district officials in Lao Cai Province".

Besides the operation and management of equipment, the replication of power saving and efficiency model throughout the Southern provinces has contributed to improving the efficiency in ensuring reliable supplies during the dry season.

Since 2012, the General Department of Energy - Ministry of Industry and Trade has been controlling the assignment conducted by the Poli-techniques Solar Energy Investment and Development Company Ltd. in coordination with Ha Giang Power Company to implement 3 projects with a total number of 149 benefited households.

One of successful programs is "Power Saving Family" throughout Lao Cai city with a total number of 20,000 registered households.

The Newspaper Career Journal - Ho Chi Minh City Journalist Association and the city Power Corporation held the evaluation review and awarding for Cartoonists who participated in the Cartoon Contest on Electricity Saving 2015.

According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Russian Federation committed to provide Vietnam a preferential credit of $10 billion for Ninh Thuan 1 NPP project. and its related preparation.

In order to contribute to socio-economic development, to stabilize the livelihood of the affected people in the areas of nuclear power plant construction, the Government and relevant agencies are working to expeditiously complete to enact mechanisms in support to socio-economic infrastructure construction in Ninh Thuan.
