Energy saving in Tra Vinh

Electricity saving for the interests of the nation and people has been ingrained into the actions of every citizen. By practical deeds, specific measures, many localities have effectively implemented the work of saving power.

Tra Vinh Power Company has developed the Program on power saving dissemination 2011 with reports on mass media which are periodically released in a year in many localities. The propagation contents focus on spreading in the community the awareness and behavior of using compact lights, solar water heater, and power saving electric equipment.

Improving low voltage grid in Long Ho district (Vinh Long) has helped reduce the rate of power loss

According to Mr. Dang Van Dinh, Deputy Director of Tra Vinh Power Company, the company has printed and released nearly 480,000 electric bills containing contents of disseminating power saving; coordinated with the local Broadcast station to broadcast contents on energy saving 306 times; make reports on power supply, typical individuals and collectives who effectively implemented energy saving in daily life and production, public lighting, state agencies… to broadcast on the provincial Television station.

In addition, Tra Vinh has also disseminated energy efficiency measures to residents through local organizations such as Veterans’ Organization, Farmers’ Organization, Women’s Union, and signed the regulation on collaborating with unions in the province in the safe and efficient use of electricity.
