Dien Bien starts “power saving family” movement

Under the guidance of the Northern Power Corporation in the official letter no. 3281/EVNNPC-KDDN dated 07 September 2012 on the development of “power saving family” movement in the Power Companies, Dien Bien Power Company launched “Power saving family 2012” movement, the households commit to save at least 10% of power use and get power use results of October 2012 as a landmark for comparing to November and December 2012.

The program objective is to propagate, raise awareness, consciousness and develop the habit of efficient use of power, first of all, each staff belonging to the power sector must be the core to replicate among the community. Positive use of new technological devices in the family such as: LED lamps for public lighting, compact lamps for home lighting and energy efficient appliances, etc. This is one of the effective measures to save energy. All staffs must be aware of energy saving practices, clearly understand the need and focusing on how to use energy more efficiently and safely for their family and for the community.

The company is expected to award and confer the title "Power saving family 2012" with 10 first prizes, 20 second prizes and 30 third prizes. Based on the result, Dien Bien PC will consider the effects and develop the replication of power saving movement widely among the community, contribute to the strategy of efficient use of natural resource, against waste and develop sustainable energy security.
