The 260MW plant will be built in Trung Son Commune in Quan Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province. It will contribute to increasing power production, preventing floods, supplying water to rice fields and boosting socioeconomic development in the northern central region.

The project is scheduled to start this coming November and be completed in 2017.
