June 25, 2015, in Hanoi, the signing ceremony was held for cooperation agreement between the Embassy of Denmark and three banks: Techcombank, BIDV and SCB. These are lenders to participate in the Green Investment Facility (GIF) program under the Low Carbon Transition in Energy Efficiency Project (LCEE Project).

On 15/07/2014, Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1165/QD-UBND to approve the program of Economical and Efficient Use of Energy for the period 2014 - 2015. The goal in 2015 is to save 5-8% of total energy consumption. For agencies and units using state budget, and the public service units, they are expected to make a saving of 5% of the annual electricity consumption, at least 2-3% of energy in industrial production, 3% of electricity in domestic use.

According to the latest report titled "Economic Outlook" issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Vietnam is a country with the largest increase in the proportion of electricity generated from renewable energy in Southeast Asia.

On June 12, 2015, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam General Department of Energy and GIZ's energy unit signed an agreement to support the Project on up-scaling the wind power in Vietnam.

A system of optimization can reduce half the power consumption compared to ineffective practices.

Since the beginning of the year, Hong Linh Electricity (Ha Tinh province) in collaboration with departments, unions, communes and wards has strengthened public communication, mobilized people to change their habits in power usage with an aim to save 10% of commercial electricity outputs in all sectors.

The participants in "Power Saving Family 2015" are households in 16 communes / wards in the city using power for domestic purposes. They are expected not to change the purpose of the use of electricity as specified in signed power purchase contract.

On June 5, in Hanoi the seminar on the theme "Energy policy and economical use of energy in small and medium-sized enterprises" was held by the Central Institute of Economic Management (CIEM).

Industry sector consumes huge energy and emits much environmental pollutants. The thermal power plants, metallurgy plant, cement, glass, food processing facilities all have the incinerator using coal, oil, gas or electricity to generate much heat during the manufacturing process. However, the really useful energy often accounts for only a small fraction of the total burned fuel.

In order to limit carbon dioxide emissions, a contribution into environment protection, Dien Bien Electricity authority has organized communication campaigns to encourage households, and traders and production households and businesses in the City to use energy economically with safety, and to participate in actions in environment protection.

Street lighting will be adjusted by the hour depending on traffic routes.
