Thua Thien Hue provincial Youth Union coordinated with Thua Thien Hue Power Corporation recently held a contest in knowledge about legitimate, safe, economical and efficient use of energy in 2015.

This is the goal set out in Quang Ninh province's plan to terminate the clay brick production in traditional kiln, the continuous vertical kiln and the fossil (coal, oil, gas) fueled circle kilns.

On July 7, Vietnam - France Energy Forum, having been prepared by the French Embassy in Vietnam, Business France, in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, took place in Paris (France).

Covering the first months of 2015, the preliminary review shows that Dak Lak province has made a saving of 12.58 million kWh, exceeding 3.18 million kWh compared with EVN-CPC assigned plan. To achieve this result, along with other solutions, Dak Lak Power Corporation in collaboration with the Department of Industry and Trade implements the electricity-saving program.

The implementation of electricity-saving program in 2015 and the plan of power saving communication week - the 4th round in 2015 were deployed by Thua Thien Hue Power Corporation during June 22 -28, 2015.

Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation organized a series of communication programs on power savings for students in upper primary schools. The program took place at the Office of Information & Communication on Safe and Economical Use of Energy. This is an activity within the plan to propagate the safe, economical and efficient use of electricity for the people, pupils and students in the city.

Hanoi People's Committee has recently issued Plan No. 136/KH-UBND, to realize the framework plan for period 2016- 2020 on information and communication project in nuclear power development in Vietnam to 2020.

The dry season in 2015 is forecast to extend to longer than usual annual duration, with high rising temperatures, causing widespread water shortages. Meanwhile, the demands for electricity increase, entailing the worrying concern in energy supply.

According to Ho Chi Minh city Department of Science and Technology, only 1% of enterprises have modern technology in their production line. And 51% of them have average production technology. The rest have backward production technology.

In the performance of many drastic measures in the communication on power savings, during the first 6 months of 2015 the country saved 1.56 billion kWh of electricity, accounting for 63.7% of the annual plan and 2.32% of six-month commercial electricity yield.

Mr. Le Ngoc Lam - Deputy General Director of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) confirms that the well-performed energy savings projects can be legible for low-cost loans at rates lower than the current 9-11%, with Green Investment Facility Program.

In accordance with the communication plan 2015 and the plan "Pink Holidays 2015" on promoting the Safe- Economical- Efficient use of electricity, targeting at the people, pupils and students who live and study in the area of Ho Chi Minh City, HCM city Power Corporation held a series of communication programs for primary school students at the Office of Public Communication at No. 1 Phan Dang Luu - Binh Thanh District, on saving energy.

To lessen the burden of difficulties in securing the supply of electricity, EVN HANOI respectfully calls for sympathy of customers in their economical and efficient use of electricity, by turning off unused electrical appliances, regulating the temperature from 25-28°C in air-con use, and restricting the simultanous use of electrical appliances during peak hours.

With special design, the Green Generation stove not only saves 50% to 60% of fuel compared with the traditional wood stoves but also releases less smoke during cooking, thereby reducing harmful emissions, contributing to health protection and environmentally friendly space.

Amid an extraordinarily hot weather, the demand for electricity of the Hanoi people soared, making the electrical system overloaded. Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade has requested the districts to encourage the people to save power .

In response to the opinion of the Ambassador, the Minister also said that on June 11, 2015, EVN received the pre-feasibility Report for the nuclear power plant Project prepared by the Korean side.

Recently, Schneider Electric Vietnam visited and donated 330 sets of solar energized lamps with brand name Mobiya to households in Ta Phin village, Sa Pa District, Lao Cai Province.

Denmark and Vietnam have a long-term cooperation in the field of climate change response and energy. Many projects have been rolled out by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade with the Danish Embassy; Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Building.

The objectives of the training courses were to guide the enterprises through the identification and assessment of the current use of machinery in the production line, to avoid energy waste.

The Deputy Prime Minister demanded that ministries, concerned agencies, localities and enterprises continue promoting the achievements and efforts, to be more aggressive in implementation of the roadmap, to ensure the set targets hit, and to prepare the necessary conditions for nationwide expansion.

In 2014, Dak Nong Power Company saved 6.19 million kWh, accounted for 2.01% of commercial power yield.

A special lamp which can control the vegetation growth as desired has been researched and successfully produced by scientists of R & D Center (Rang Dong Vacuum Flask JSC).

The plant has a total investment of nearly VND900 billion, allocated for 2 phases. In Phase 1, the total investment is nearly VND400 billion and the facility was put into operation with a processing capacity of 200 tons /day of municipal wastes from Danang city.

By May 2015, the province saves 8,338,154 kWh, equivalent to 2.81% of the accumulated commercial electricity, reaching 47.55% of the 2015 annual plan assigned by the Corporation, (targeting at 17.535 million kWh).

The Investment Law 2014 officially takes effect on July 1st, 2015. The Law states that 13 industrial groups will receive investment incentives. These manufacturing industries include clean energy, renewable energy, manufacturing of 30% value added products or energy-saving products.

Starting in August 2015, the Training Center will run its commissioning training with the first course for energy auditors, supported by the Japanese energy experts.
